VIVOTEK FD816C-HF2 Intro Video

The VIVOTEK FD816C-HF2 is a recessed-mount fixed dome network camera offering up to 30 fps at 2-Megapixel resolution with superb image quality, even in the darkest hours of the night. Due to its compact size, the camera is able to blend into any surroundings such as banks, retail stores, restaurants, offices and more.

Featuring the improved Wide Dynamic Range Technology, WDR Pro, the FD816C-HF2 provides superior visibility in high-contrast lighting environments with a 2-shutter capture method, and with SNV technology, it makes high-quality full-color surveillance video possible under low-light conditions. At the other end of the spectrum, 3D Noise Reduction Technology allows users to enjoy an increased level of image detail in extremely dark environments without consuming or wasting unreasonably high bandwidth.

To dramatically reduce file sizes and conserve valuable network bandwidth, the FD816C-HF2 supports Smart Stream and industry-standard H.264 compression technology. Combined with the ST7501 multi-lingual 32-channel recording software, users can quickly and easily set up an IP surveillance system that's simple to operate but hard to beat.

Recessed-Mount Network Camera

Installation

1. Drill a hole on ceiling or wall. The diameters for the installations with or without the retention tube are different. Use the M3 self tapping screws if installed without the retention tube. Note that this type of installation does not apply to hard surfaces, such as a concrete wall.

2. Detach the top cover

3. Route an Ethernet cable through the pre-drill hole and then connect it to the camera. 4. Pull the retention clips to the back of the module, and then insert the module into the wall. 5. The retention clips will hold the module in place. 6. Note that the shooting angle of a fixed lens can only be vertically adjusted. This mark should be on top. There is no need to change the shooting angle for the fisheye lens model. 6-1 Use a small-size Phillips screwdriver to change the shooting angle of a fixed focal lens.
6-2. Attach the top cover to camera by aligning the notch. The magnets will hold the cover in place.
